These pitcures make you think about how much these animals are suffering. It takes so much effort just to stay afloat, let alone try to fly. And their food supply dying. There is nothing for the animals to eat that won't poison them. These pictures make me wonder if being independent from the Middle Eastern oil is worth it.
The images are very disturbing. However, I think that it is a good thing that the media is showing the illustrations because it help people see how the oil spill is effecting wild life. They are getting people more involved in coming up with a solution and contributing to the cause.
These pictures make me so angry. I feel so badly for the animals and I can only imagine how they actually feel as they are trying to swim through thick black water, fly with feathers caked in black oil, or crawl on black oily sand. Someone must pay for what is being done to these animals and something must be done to prevent this kind of catastrophe from ever happening again!
I think that these pictures should be making more of an impact. I would think by the media putting them out there people would be more interested in helping out or trying to do something about it. It is really sad to see all these animals suffering like this. None of us would enjoy having oil all over ourself.
To get people to hate BP, the media always does things like this, they have their own agenda all of the time. The problem is you always see the same pics of the same birds. It's working because people are getting angry.
I definitely don't think that they should be covering up this images to the world. The world is already ignorant as it is. Hopefully this pictures can open up some eyes that never thought about the situation and effect them to do something about it.
After going to class today and hearing what Mr. Craig said about what the oil impact really looks like makes me upset. Don't get me wrong, I feel bad for the animals and people that are being affected by the oil spill, but the media is blowing some things out of proportion. I understand that the animals are suffering but why won't the media show us some good things about the oil spill. Like the hundreds of communities coming together and help clean up the beaches.
These pictures are sad. These wild creatures didn't ask for this. We heaped it on 'em. And now, the onus is upon us.
ReplyDeleteWhat can we do to help the wild life that are dying from all the oil?

How come people haven't started to help clean these poor animals?
